How had it gotten that way? Did she pickle it with coffee and energy drinks? Was it just that it was ungodly late and the stress of finals week raised a comp-sci impervious barrier to protect her from a neural meltdown caused by dangerous overcapacity? Was an extra letter grade worth disabling such safeguards?

Datastructures and Algorithms? I have that book! My advice; just get to the code writing. The book is dry as hell, I don't think I ever got to read it. Wikipedia sums up its concepts much nicer!
