Historines: Qing Dynasty [Commission]

Historines: Qing Dynasty [Commission]
Rooted in the northern parts of China, the Qing dynasty began as a small autonomous operation with support from the Mongols against their common foe; the Ming dynasty. After years of war with the current establishment (some conflicts as early as 1582), the Qing dynasty came into power in China in 1644.

This dynasty would be the last to rule Imperial China. It also had the important task of dealing with the Europeans. For centuries, China had held a policy of ignoring the outside world and focusing on its immediate neighbours like the Mongols, the Koreans, and the Japanese.

But the Europeans did not think much of China's opposition to foreign interests and trade. After much effort, Europeans were able to establish their own trading facilities in coastal Chinese cities. The government restricted the Europeans' travels to these areas.

The Qing dynasty would often find itself at odds with the interests of the Europeans, which lead to several wars that China could not maintain; for despite its size, China was not easy to manage and being ruled by a minority in China complicated matter further.

It would not be the Europeans, but the Chinese people who would bring an end to the Qing dynasty. By the 20th century, protests and revolts were rampant across China and the Qing government was slow and powerless to respond appropriately to the demands by the protesters. After several failed attempts to crush the revolutions, the Qing collapsed in 1912 and the Republic of China was established in its place.

Hey Woot!
Do you have a DeviantArt account?

Derp on
How many more of these will be done before we see some non-historical stuff again? Just wondering.

Rankodd on
Honestly, I'm happy to see him draw girls with knee-length, beachball sized breasts on a weekly basis :)

@Somebody
He does. But he doesn't post much stuff there.
Here is a link to his DA

At this point, I'm wondering why Chinese dragons have whiskers and some dragons don't.

I thought the dragon and the sun flag was an invention from one of the games I play, lol.
@Somebody: yes he has, http://w-oo-t.deviantart.com/ and I hope he doesn't get angry at me, lol.

@Derp: How much do you wish for woot to pay his rent?

If it's a nice picture of a cute girl with big tits, why complain? :3

Besides, woot's been posting loads of non-Historine stuff over on DA and BBWchan; links to both have been given at least once.

Long time lurker here, and forgive me because I'm just going to gush here...

I was directed here about a year ago, from Gaia of all places(don't ask) and was surprised to find someone I've known to exist for awhile, but has remarkably improved his technique over time. The earliest pictures I definitely recall, but I appeared when Face the Day was put up. Anyway, Woot, you are probably one of the few people that does absurdly huge breasts right, simply because you generally go for non upright standing poses, which is a mistake to impress the image of something so huge and delightfully squishy ^^ Though this historine is an example of a standard standing pose, I still like her because of your backlog of work tells me that given an opportune moment, you'd show us just how pliable dem girls are. Mashing, fallen over, pressed up against something, or her arms placed somewhere beneath their mass, distorting their natural shape and the like. I hope everyone appreciates this sort of detail because its way too common for an artist to be considered good by simply drawing enormous titties (hate that term) and not even giving you the impression of their size and weight.

On another note, I love the Historines, it's history and boobs, a match made in heaven. Hetalia without the non too subtle yaoi vibe attached and discomfort of watching in the company of said yaoi fangirls. As much as I know a lot of the stuff in the historine clips, I still enjoy looking over some of the different perspectives presented in them and even new stuff like the Qing dynasty up here. I love how everything is generally bent to imply the tidbit of history you're describing, considering she's standing at the Wall of China with her back, dare I say, turned to the western world. Oh its fun to interpret things like this.

Seconding the question. It's cool you're trying to teach history, but I'm pretty sure most people don't watch your art for education but for the aesthetics ;]

Yeeeah, I'm getting a bit bored of them too...

She looks so bored! :

Haha- so many links to my DA site. It's true that there's not much up there because most of my finished work ends up here. That leaves scraps and sketches with no other place to go. So make sure to check out the scrapbook on my DA gallery- there's more stuff hidden there. Some even have stories to go with.

@Grihn: If you returned when I posted Face the Day, it sounds like you picked an ideal time to come back. I'm glad you like my art. Hopefully I can continue to improve. Just to clarify though; the Historines series is Svip's brainchild. He gives me the art direction and writes the stories.

Svip on
Woo! My series is boring people!

Well suck on it!

Grihn on
@woot It's not so much as I returned as it was I found this place about that time, and I've been a regular visitor since. Also I figure while it is Svip's brainchild(The devious twisted brainchild I have come to adore as it is), it's still your art style and you bring it about wonderfully. It is quite the marriage really. Sorry if I wasn't really clear.

@Melissa Isn't it adorable? though I'm willing to bet that apathy got her booted from Control of China :P

As for those of you complaining about the Historines, pay Woot to make stuff you'd like, otherwise, its free and cultural. No one ever said boobs and cultural expansion (no pun/relation intended) are mutually exclusive.
