Before the cicadas could sing the summer sun to its zenith, before sounds of Lord Gan's castle and court awakening drowned out the whispered splashes of leaping trout and the warble of Jesterbirds, Tien'zhang liked to sit by the garden, wearing only the wind, and write poems. She was counting the syllables of her next proposed stanza when she heard the sliding door behind her rasp open.
Little Jijie stood at the threshold, eyes downcast. "Miss Golden Bird, may I please bid enter?" The formality was unsettling from the usually familiar and warm serving girl.
"Know that forever you are welcome in my chambers Ms. Mouse."
This started Mouse bawling as she ran full speed into Tien'zhang's back and wrapped her arms tightly around her shoulders. The force of the impact almost sent the inkwell sliding into the crevasse of her cleavage, but she checked its descent with her free hand before it could make a mess. The serving girl dropped to her knees and rested her head on the blonde's right shoulder, struggling to speak in between sobs. "They're... gonna... send you... away!"
Tien set the ink and brush down on the floor mat and stroked the girl's hair in the hopes of calming her. "Woah- It's OK, it's going to be alright."
Soon enough Jijie gained enough composure to continue her story. But first she stopped her snuffling by wiping a long snotty snail trail down her forearm. "There was a messenger from the capital last night. He was flying a black flag and he said that one of the Heads of Clans was killed by some busty lady assassin. He said the council made an edict that the women at court with big boobs should be sent away so the killers can't blend in." Mouse looked at the overabundance of bosom attached to her friend and hugged her tighter. "The steward is going to talk about it this morning. I saw him gathering traveling garments and supplies for you and some of the others by the servant's gate. I don't want you to go." She stomped her foot. "I forbid it!"
"Then I'll stay." Tien wished her promise was more than a lie told to comfort a scared little girl. The story about denying cover to an assassin was possible but flimsy; this move was more likely to be the council testing Lord Gan's commitment to the new coalition government. The only certainty was that it was too early to tell.
But did it really matter if she had to swallow the bitter pill of exile regardless of the reason? It was all happening so fast. There was no time to plan. And alone, she knew she lacked the strength she'd need to face the day.
A small hand squeezing her shoulder reminded her that she was not alone. Slowly, she rose. The weird patterns you're seeing are halftone bitmaps. I thought I'd do some experimentation using them to create gradients.
The story is sort of set up for a sequel. I'd like to dwell here in the feudal realm of Nian a bit more, but I have unfinished business across the Serpent Sea, a continent away, in the winding streets of the port city of Palamadura.
Wow, love the halftone "bubble" pattern on everything - makes it look like an ancient watercolour. Experimenting in Photoshop seems to be paying off. Great detail paid to the scenery outside, too. You *are* an absolute bastard, though, because now I'm gonna be desperately searching for a translation for all the oriental characters - unless you've tricked me and they're just gibberish; though I can see one scripture quite blatantly reads "Woot" ;)
Oh, and where are my manners? Truly, it's excelsior to welcome you back :D
Good to have you back! I just want to say while I love your art, the little stories you write underneath really give the characters life. Keep doing them.
As i said before Another epic artpiece, love the shape and firmness, and let me add, chinese ideograms are hard, she must have trained a lot to achieve that
I wouldn't go searching around for translations SirJimmy- they're all made up glyphs. Nian is kind of an oriental mashup of China and Japan, so it was nice that the Nianese characters looked similar enough to real ones to be mistaken for them. Tien'zhang isn't a native, but she's had (almost) all her life to learn. I hope I get to tell more of her story sometime.
As for Palamadura, I don't think I've ever given the city a specific name before now. At least I don't think I have!
Oh joyous day that we bid Woot a hearty welcome home; and with such a beautiful offering from the man himself. I certainly enjoy your far-eastern themed works as some of my favourites and this piece is no exception; the new gradient style is very well executed and provides a whole new depth to you work, and of course I must not forget to exhort your skill as a writer; your characters would be mere empty shells without your superlative prose, sir.
Doesn't Tenfingers live in a port city? I was wondering if she'd been abandoned. I rather hoped not- her story (or rather, one part of it) provoked the strongest reaction I'd gotten from any of Woot's serials. Let's hope that's what the reference is getting at.
On a related note, I will be glad of Tenfingers' return for another reason- I find the serial stories by far the most interesting of the pics/stories here, and not just for reasons of titillation. I guess I've always been a sucker for continuity.
I am very happy to see more of your work - but I must admit those halftone bitmaps really don´t improve the picture. In my opinion they look more like an graphical error.
I suggest that you at least try (if you haven't already) shading only with half-tones, instead of having abrupt lines between one shade and another (like the "outline" of the lightest pink on her body, or the darkest,) even if it were very slight, *almost* an abrupt line.
yay ur back!!!!!!!!!!! im sooo glad ur alive... is the assasin from the story the girl from "scaly devotee"? cause if she iz id like to know what happened to her & the dragon... that lil guy waz cute :)
Most impressive and such a delightful idea. I think even people who dislike breast expansion could appreciate the thought behind the image. It doesn't seem gawdy or blatent in the least.
@P1_gdude... Woot hasn't drawn that many ninjas, but I have a feeling that the assassin in question might be the girl from Ninja Magic - which is REALLY hitting the Wayback Machine in terms of continuity!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! Woot's back, Hooray! You've been sorely missed, and I look forward to whatever you should produce next! Keep up the excellent work, Wot Wot?
Long time no see, Woot! Glad you came back with an epic pic to your credit. I hope you've found the fictional account of your disappearance (Where in the World is Wooster) to your liking, as I have completed it. It's posted to the free side of my BEA account. http://platovoltaire.deviantart.com/
Oh yes, the great Woot returns, and bearing great gifts of beauty, writing, and massive boobage! She is hawt, and busty, beyond measure. How does she get around? Is she able to walk, or does she have some servants who carry her breasts for her? I can think of three possible candidates for the mystery assasin: The girl from Ninja magic, the Emerald Dragon, and the girl from Scaly Devotee. Can't wait to see a continuation, and welcome back, Woot.
I did a crude measurement using a ruler, my monitor and a graph calculator. I assumed she was 7.5 heads tall, and I measured her head to be 45mm tall. That would make her 337.5 units tall. Her right boob is 130 units across. Converting her height to five-foot-six, this makes each boob a tiny bit over two feet in diametre.
I have a question for any girl's/women who visit this site. If you could have breasts as massive as in Woot's pics, and non of the downsides associated with them (immobility, back pain, expensive bras, getting in the way, etc), would you want to have breasts that big?
