Hypothetical mom: Eat your greens honey. Hypothetical child: But mom, why? Hypothetical mom: Because if you eat enough, she might run out of leaves to wear. *points to girl* Hypothetical child: O.O ... *nom nom nom*
Some very powerful thighs on this young cat-lass... and I'm digging the hair too. Not just the illuminous effect, I have a "thing" (like, whatever is the step below "fetish") for girls with massive haircuts. Splendid~
@Kita: Drop me a line some time. Maybe we can work something out. I can't make any guarantees, but I do enjoy reviewing pitches for ideas/themes/stories.
@Somebody: I'm not sure what kind of animal had chompers like that. I'm guessing the setting is thousands of years in the past- way before Mayan temples broke through the jungle canopy; a time when now-extinct megafauna roamed the land. Are all the kitty characters from that era? Is there some wacky time travel angle at play? One thing's for sure: the puny character bio left a little too much room for speculation.
@JulieFan: I think I was stretching my luck by stretching out Beach Trip to four installments. I was very happy with the response it got, but some of the other natives were getting restless!
And to everyone else who enjoyed the character design: thank-you. I pushed the hair and the costume in a little more fanciful direction and then spent a lot of time detailing. Then I went and gimped on the story! :[
Woot, you should definitely make a series of these. It would give you a great excuse to make costumed/themed busty warrior women, and that's always a good thing. Also, you should totally make a cow-based one.
There are so many fantastic things about this image that I am at a loss to compliment them without resorting to cataloging them in detail. But more than anything else I keep coming back to the brilliance of the JAW BRA. Clearly one of Tocti's signature attacks is going to have to involve it in some way; either she's going to take it off and wield it as a weapon, or maybe she just summons an animate skeleton to maul her opponent?
Wait, wait- I just had an image of her delivering an uppercut by leaping upwards, arching her back and slamming the teeth under her tits into her opponent. That. Do that.
Now I'm trying to think of other character concepts for Cat Fight. Say a fighting game needs six characters minimum, and maybe one boss, to be interesting. How about trying to have one contender from each of the six populated continents?
Okay, I'm about to get carried away here, so please be patient with me.
Tocti's level should totally be a jungle temple. She's also pretty clearly of cougar stock, and as female African lions aren't immediately distinguishable from them lions are probably out- but if you have to have one, a tall, serious Lioness in Masai garb who has long range attacks and fights with a spear could work. Jaguars, leopards, and cheetahs are all golden yellow with black spots, so you can probable only take one of them- I'd take the cheetah, for the distinct fighting style and the nasty personality. (Female cheetahs are very anti-social.) Whether you go with lioness or cheetah, the level is the African Savannah. If you still want a leopard you can have a black-and-white snow leopard with a laid-back personality- complete opposite of the Cheetah- who's level is a tranquil white forest of falling snow. If snow leopards leave you cold, a beefy Siberian tiger can have a snow level just as well and make a great bruiser- also she'll be the most recognizable cat that can represent Europe. Alternately, you can put Tiger Lily fighting alongside the river Ganges in India- tigers actually *like* water. Technically Tocti has North America covered already, but cougars range into the Andes- and another snow-level candidate is a Bobcat in Native North American dress. Another way to side-step the Cheetah-Leopard-Jaguar confusion and cover South America is with a Black Panther, which is not a species but a Leopard or Jaguar which is producing an excess of melanin. A South American black jaguar could have a rain forest level- with actual rain- fighting on a platform in the treetops.
Not too many domestic cat breeds are really distinct, but if you wanted a sort of oriental, ninja character a Siamese is an obvious choice, probably fighting in an elaborate garden, and for a run-down, urban environment a calico American Shorthair has both a distinct appearance and one that implies scrappyness. (Especially with a buzz-cut) It might be hard to imply a calico without fur but you could have her clothes sewn together out of patches of different colors, and I think a poised Siamese fighting in a decadent garden and a ragged Calico fighting in a trash-strewn vacant lot would make another excellent pair of rivals.
As for a story, how about it's the distant future and humanity are thought to have long ago wiped themselves out with some sort of biological weapon that mutated out of control. We are succeeded by an emerging civilization of cat people, all the races of which are very territorial and fight many small wars against each other with primitive weapons. However, somewhere on earth (perhaps wherever the boss fights?) there is a massive, vault-like time capsule believed to hold the secrets of the long gone humans, that no-one has yet been able to force open. The markings on the vault door indicate it will open on its own on a certain day which is now fast approaching, and after a year of costly, stalemated fighting among the cat nations to see who will control it on that day, the leaders of the nations have all agreed that the vault is a poisoned prize. In order to try and halt the pointless bloodshed they have agreed to give away first pick of whatever the vault contains to the individual champion who can defeat all comers in single combat. Naturally, each nation happens to have a champion in mind...
Whew. That was a lot of ideas. Some might say I'm obsessing, but I say this picture is just that inspiring. I mean, come on, JAW BRA.
Woot, is there any way we could get a slightly toned down, safe-for-work version of this image to use a desktop background? I tried to use it as-is on my home computer, but found that continuous exposure to this much untempered awesome kept me from getting any actual work done.
Also, some Cat Fight theme music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pZnOKcvBd0#t=04m05s That link automatically jumps to the 4:05 mark, with 1:14 of track remaining.
Can I just say again that I love this image? I really do. This is outstanding work on every level, right down to the little blood spatter shadows in the logo.
Hah- so much to comment on here. I think my mistake was to incorporate a real-world location (the Yucatan peninsula). Of course, I never said *when* she was from. Could be some paleolithic species of cat, something now-extinct. Fighting games have a habit of bringing together a bunch of powerful fighters from different times and locations.
As for other potential characters, I'm guessing they'd be an assortment of old, new, and futuristic girls. Pity that I'm not sure we'll ever see them :/ though it is an interesting thought exercise. In any case, I appreciate all effort you've put in!
As for an alternate pic, I'm going to have to decline. Deflating her bust will mess with her costume a lot, and shrinking those thighs looks like a lot of work.
Also, having two versions up can be confusing. Which one gets to be the "real" one? That's why I didn't bother posting the small bust version of "At Home On The Range." Seeing characters shrink can even be distressing for some people :)
if you do wind up making this a series (and i hope you do)then can i make a suggestion for a bbw fighter... SUMO TECKNO NECKOCHAN!!! if Tocti is from the mesoamerica of the past then mabey you can have a bbw catgirl from the japan of the future! wait till jawbra meets LAZER CLAWZ(or whatever it is you make up for her)!!!
